Description
The Splitting machine is designed to cut slabs of foam, including polyurethane, eva, polyethylene, expanded foam and by-product blocks with a shore hardness in the range of 30-70 degrees Scale “A”. The machine consists of a steel frame with 0-800mm cast iron flywheels mounted. The special-steel blade-guide is equipped with 6 bumpers that automatically maintain their correct position. Two knurled rollers drive the material against the blade, which cuts it horizontally with +/-0.2 mm tolerance, with reference to the pre-set up thickness. The adjustment of the rollers is power driven and two digital displays indicate the positions of the rollers with reference to the blade. The band knife is sharpened by a power-driven sharpener with grinding dust exhausts systems. The blade edge is adjustable and an optical wave guide always maintains the blade in the best position, also after sharpening. The keyboard is placed on a joinable arm in order to provide the operator optimum practicality.
